Big data: The next frontier for innovation, competition, and productivity

This morning Radio New Zealand's Nine to Noon programme on National Radio featured an interview with New Zealand-born physicist Sean Gourley. A significant part of the interview concerned his work on Big Data and his start-up Quid. I was at a conference a few weeks ago and Big Data was very much the main buzz word. McKinsey and Company recently published a report called Big data: The next frontier for innovation, competition, and productivity.
