Science can be dull... but it doesn't have to be!

Popular Science, a UK based popular science book review web site, has just published an article I wrote called "Who Invented the Computer?"  There is also a review of The Universal Machine on the web site and a "Four Way Interview" with me. Popular Science is an excellent site if you enjoy popular science books; it includes reviews of books for adults and children categorised by age group.

Don't Be Such a Scientist

A friend recently directed me to a book about writing and communicating science called Don't Be Such a Scientist by Randy Olson. Very interesting, hopefully I've followed much of its advice before reading it. I've always believed that you have to get people interested and excited about a subject before you can start informing them about it.
