Driverless cars would reshape automobiles and the transit system

I've blogged about Google's driverless cars before but my colleague, Bob Doran, pointed me towards this interesting article in the Atlantic: Driverless cars would reshape automobiles and the transit system. The gist of it is that being autonomous will change our relationship with the car, which will consequently change in form and function to match.
